In the past, the model for IT services has been this:

This simply isn't necessary. Technology tools are now available that didn’t exist only a few years ago. These tools enable the technology professional such as Resolute IT to remotely administer your computer systems on an ongoing, 24/7/365 basis, and take a proactive and preventive approach to ensure that you will dramatically reduce the need for those expensive emergency calls that must be performed on-site during business hours.

Have you backed up successfully? Did you run disk utilities? Are your systems protected by the latest or best security patches and software updates? Are you running low on available data storage space? Has there been a malicious program installed on one of your computers? Are there bad sectors on your hard disk drive that could cause sudden failure? Has there been unauthorized access to your network? Do you need remote desktop assistance from a support engineer to help configure a program or device? Do you know the history of your system’s events and alerts? Can you restore your backed up data?!

Resolute IT now has the ability to offer you peace of mind when it comes to your computer network and systems. You’ll never have to worry about the answer to any of the questions above, unless it would require a critical decision.

For example:

May 29, 2004 - We were remotely monitoring a server for a property management company. We became aware of an imminent hard drive failure due to bad sectors. We notified the owner to obtain permission to replace the drive. Sure enough, upon our early morning arrival, the hard drive failed only minutes after doing a complete backup of the company’s data. The proverbial 'baby died in our arms'! We replaced the drive with two mirrored drives for data redundancy, and had the company’s server up and running for them by the end of that Saturday.

On Monday morning, everyone resumed work as usual, completely unaware that they might have returned to work that Monday morning and found that EVERYTHING WAS GONE; all their financial files, all their contacts, all their emails, all their service contracts, all their spreadsheets – gone.

Instead of weeks of replacing data (therefore thousands of dollars in lost productivity) and instead of thousands more dollars in IT costs, we were able to quickly restore their server system for a fraction of the potential costs.

UPDATE:
July 12, 2009 - Over 5 years later, we still receive email reports from that server.

 

Monthly plans are available from Resolute IT in two levels of service: basic monitoring and a complete out-sourced IT solution.

Always remaining available during normal business hours while in the office or while on the road, Resolute IT offers responsive service to your critical needs. Clients can often expect on-site service within a matter of hours, if not within minutes. Our Microsoft or A+ Certified Technicians are qualified to troubleshoot your PC or network-related environment to get you back up and running with a minimum amount of down-time.

Hourly & Flat-Rate Fees

Our current hourly rates are listed below, as well as our flat-rate pricing for small projects. Services that require immediate priority service or must take place after normal business hours (8-5pm, Monday-Friday, except holidays) are billed at emergency rates.

Operating systems not supported: Mac OS, Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows Me (upgrades will be considered with respect to existing hardware).

Our services will be billed at the corresponding hourly rate upon our arrival at your premises; the return trip is not billed.

Payment Terms

All services are due upon completion of a work task. Invoices are submitted by email soon after the prescribed tasks have been performed satisfactorily.

A) Resolute IT will grant net 10-day terms to customers with sound bank and trade references. 10-day terms are not available for product purchases, which must be made in advance. To apply for credit, simply complete the Resolute IT credit application, available upon request. Any balance unpaid after 10 days will be subject to a monthly finance charge of 1½ percent. A $20.00 service charge will be incurred for all returned checks. Customer agrees to pay all costs of collection and attorney fees for delinquent amount.

B) COD Policy - Initial shipments of products or delivery of services for customers not yet approved on terms will require Cash On Delivery (COD), certified check, company check, or credit card.

C) Past due balances must be settled before ongoing support will be provided.

The rates stated below are effective as of March 13, 2009.

Data Recovery

Successful recovery of any deleted or lost file(s) or
